Questions & Answers

The things people ask.

Shipping, returns, washing, fit and how we make things — gathered in one place. If your question isn't here, we're a short email away.

Orders & delivery

Where your parcel is, and when it'll land.

Orders are picked and posted within 2–3 working days, and usually land 3–5 working days after dispatch. We'll email tracking the moment it's on its way.

Not yet. The first run ships UK-only — it keeps things honest while there are two of us and one kettle. Further afield as soon as we can do it properly.

Email us as soon as you can. If it hasn't been packed yet we'll happily change the size or cancel it; once it's posted, our 30-day returns have you covered.

Returns & exchanges

Thirty days to be sure.

Thirty days. If it's unworn with tags on, send it back for a full refund or an exchange. Return postage is yours; if you're exchanging, the new size travels back to you on us.

Email us the size you'd like and we'll set it aside. Post the original back and we'll send the new one out as soon as it arrives.

Once your return reaches us we check it over and refund within 3–5 working days, to your original payment method. Your bank may take a day or two more to show it.

Repairs & care

How to wash it, and what to do when it's had a hard life.

We do. If a zip, seam or cuff gives out, post it back and we'll repair it free for as long as we're making the Ascent — better for you and your pocket than a new one.

Machine wash cool (30°C) on a gentle cycle with like colours, then hang to dry. No fabric softener, no tumble dryer, no ironing the patch — the fleece looks after itself.

Treat it as the care label says and it behaves — the fleece is wash-stable at 30°C and the soft-brushed face is chosen to resist pilling through a lot of walks.

Sizing & fit

How the Ascent is cut, and how to land your size.

Unisex, relaxed fit — roomy enough to layer over a base, structured enough on its own. Final graded measurements land on the Size Guide before the first run ships.

Size down for a trimmer fit, or up if you'll wear a midlayer underneath through winter. In doubt, measure a fleece you already love and match it to the chart.

It's a midweight 280 gsm fleece — plenty on its own for autumn and milder winter days, and a proper insulating layer under a waterproof when the weather really turns.

Materials & making

What it's made of, and where.

A 280 gsm fleece with a soft-brushed back — 80% polyester, 20% cotton — with a YKK quarter-zip, two hand pockets and an embroidered (not printed) faux-leather chest patch.

Not yet. We looked hard at recycled fabric for the first run — it priced the Ascent further from reach and cut the colours we wanted. It stays on the list for future runs; we'd rather do it properly than claim it early.

Designed at a kitchen table between Silverdale and Carnforth. The first run is being made now with our manufacturing partner — when we know exactly where every part is made, we'll say so here, plainly.

There are two of us, in Lancashire, and we answer every message — usually within two working days, often before the kettle's cold.
