Help · Fit

Find the size you'll live in.

The Ascent is unisex with a relaxed fit — roomy enough to layer over a base, structured enough on its own. If you're between two sizes, size down for a trimmer fit and up for room to wear a midlayer underneath. The chart below is provisional until the first run is graded; final figures land here before launch.

Provisional until the first run is graded — final figures land here before launch. Measurements are taken flat and doubled for the chest. To-fit figures describe your body; garment figures describe the fleece laid flat. When in doubt, measure a fleece you already love.

The Ascent Fleece — unisex.

A 2–3 cm tolerance is normal — these are sewn by people, not stamped from sheet metal. Body length is measured from the highest shoulder seam to the hem. Sleeve is measured from the centre back of the collar to the cuff.

How to measure

Four measurements, one soft tape.

Stand relaxed, breathe normally, and keep the tape level all the way round. If you only take one measurement, take the chest — it's the one that decides your size.

  1. Chest — Around the fullest part, under the arms and across the shoulder blades. Keep the tape snug, not tight.
  2. Body length — From the top of your shoulder, straight down to where you'd like the hem to sit.
  3. Sleeve — From the centre back of your neck, over the shoulder and along a slightly bent arm to the wrist bone.
  4. Compare — Lay a fleece you love flat and measure it. Match those numbers to the chart and you'll rarely go wrong.

Fit notes

How it's meant to sit.

Between two sizes

Size down for a close, tucked-in fit. Size up if you'll layer a midlayer or thick base underneath through winter.

Relaxed, not baggy

Roomy enough to layer, structured enough to wear on its own. The final cut is confirmed when the graded spec lands — honest numbers only.

Unisex, honestly

One cut for everyone. For a more fitted shape, most people who'd usually take a women's size go one down from their men's equivalent.

Sleeves & cuffs

Plain self-fabric cuffs — no elastic rib — so they sit over a watch and push up cleanly. Sleeves are cut for a slightly bent, walking arm.

After the first wash

The poly-cotton fleece is wash-stable at 30°C — it won't shrink to a different size on you. Hang to dry and it keeps its shape.

Still not sure?

Order two sizes, keep the one that fits, and send the other back within 30 days. We'd rather you got it right.

When the weather turns

Measured, sized, and ready for the long way back.

The first run of one hundred lands this autumn. Join the list and you'll hear first — and if it's not quite right when it arrives, you've got 30 days to send it back.
